I am not much of a beer drinker, but this place blew me away. We tried the tasting and they were all really delicious. Even the wine was good too. Too bad you can only drink these micobrews in Santa Rosa, CA.

everything tasted so good, so we joined their wine club…
their healthy mossy reservoir reminded me of Claude Monet
I have been practicing Chinese cuisine with the help of my new cookbook “Every Grain of Rice: Simple Chinese Home Cooking” by Fuchsia Dunlop. So far every recipe has been quite easy to manage and the results have been great.

I found a lovely little boutique that made custom shoes in Udaipur, India. I bought two pairs! Here are photos of the shopkeeper and his beautiful Indian princess slippers.
After the three day Indian wedding (which was absolutely spectacular) we decided to spend our time relaxing by Hotel Lake Pichola’s rooftop pool. As much as I like to go sightseeing, I decided to take the day off and hang out with the remaining wedding guests. Photographing a wedding is quite intense, so it felt really nice to rest my feet and soak in some sun. This city best viewed from above.
Heading off to Vrindavan via overnight train now!

I have always wanted to visit India forever and this year I was finally given the opportunity! My friends hired me to photograph their wedding in Udaipur. Before the wedding I will be in Goa with my girlfriend Jes. We are both super excited for a week of sun, beach, yoga, food, and culture!
My adventure began on Air India, which is one of the best airlines I have ever been on. They served me several delicious vegetarian meals even though I didn’t reserve one. I entertained myself by catching up on contemporary Bollywood romantic comedies and slept so much I didn’t have jet lag when I arrived in Goa almost a day later!
I really love Valentine’s Day, as a total romantic I can’t help myself. Today while searching for proper vintage Valentines I found these dreadful gems!
I love these imaginary cityscapes of New York showing what it would look like without light pollution. See more in this pretty NY Times gallery.

I have been photographing jewelry for over a decade now and rarely post my commercial still life work on my blog. It is often opulent pieces I would be horrified to wear. I was super excited (and challenged) to take photos of Brvtvs‘ tiny little stylish gold ear cuffs, they might be the smallest thing I have ever photographed. Here are images that were run in the NY Times Style section today.
Michaelangelo Matos‘ article is finally up on The Resident Advisor site, commemorating ten years of The Bunker’s history. I have been involved in The Bunker for over seven years now, photo documenting most of the events, hosting the party, welcoming artists in our home, and taking care of the flyer design until recently. Needless to say it has been a huge part of my life and also an immense creative outlet.
