I have been photographing the The Bunker events for years.  Recently I have focused my energy on photographing the artists in the studio. All the artists on the roster are slowing making their way through my studio doors. I am very excited with the results.

Demdike Stare: “Transmission” Video

Mutek Mexico Labs started off at the Centro de Cultura Digital.

Sometimes you just have to take a day off and be a tourist in your own city.  We had Mr. Ties and Atom™  in town to play The Bunker and it was a gorgeous summer day, perfect for playing hooky.  The adventure started out at the Guggenheim Museum which has a James Turrell exhibit on view. I have been a Turrell fan for years but this installation was a bit of a disappointment for me. However this extensive  NY Times article on Turrell is a must read! The real treat of the day was the Kandinsky in Paris, 1934–1944 show that is up at the same time.  After we were refreshed by the gorgeous playful color of these two abstract art exhibits we decided to leisurely walk through Central Park. We had an early dinner at St. Anselm, a steakhouse that has many delicious delights for my pescatarian palette.  Our beautiful day ended with ice cream at Momofuku Milk Bar where we shared cereal milk ice cream and corn cookies.

Spring is in the air and we’re all feeling a little flirty. The ladies of Kiss & Tell are back with Kiss & Tell resident DJ Bethany, The Bunker’s Bryan Kasenic and Move D!

We will be breaking in The Panther Room, a new Williamsburg venue. We are quite excited to settle into our new home and sip some after work cocktails as we listen to vintage dance music records on a brand spankin’ new Funktion One sound system.

You just might hear: disco, ladies’ choice jams, space oddities, geigh haus!

Dress to impress in your finest floral frocks. Wear flowers in your hair or in your lapel.
